Yes, plenty of ships are still attempting the strait. The Saudi’s are loading 20MBPD of oil as we speak on VLCCs to run the strait.

The pace of attacks is not yet at the level to deter tankers from attempting the voyage.

Doubt US would crash without India. China is completely free from US tech infra and doesn't use google or facebook or youtube etc they got their own ecosystem.

US got huge leverage over India since the tech guys moved in and now Indians all survive on US tech. US can switch it off and ban India tomorrow but they enjoy all the free data provided by Indians.
