Let’s say Trump devastates Iranian infrastructure and in return entire Saudi and GCC is also destroyed.

Trump will claim to have destroyed Iran’s nuclear capability.

Iran can explode a bomb in late January.

A Democrat president will not want to prolong the war and can just blame Trump for Iran getting nuclear bombs. Having lied about destroying all the HEU.

A democratic base is very left wing and anti war now.

Without the base no president can win the party’s primary.

Iran has basically spent the last few years saying that it would tolerate the following before even thinking of developing nuclear weapons, let alone using them:

1. The killing of its Supreme Leader (also a marja'), along with his family.
2. The killing of its top generals and political leadership.
3. The bombing of major cities.
4. The bombing of its nuclear facilities.
5. The murder of thousands of its citizens.
6. The destruction of heritage sites.
7. The worst sanctions regime on the planet.
8. A military embargo of its ports.

What kind of message does would send for nuclear deterrence? That we are willing to tolerate all of the above before even considering using these weapons? It's not particularly frightening.

Iran needs nuclear bomb to ensure it can escalate asymmetric warfare without risking a Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

And next US president cannot muse about ending Iranian civilisation.

So why this Iranian ambivalence about nuclear weapons? Seems like for decades now Iran wants nuclear weapons while also not wanting nuclear weapons, which has led to the current war.

Iran should decide! Either it goes for nukes and lives with the consequences, like North Korea ,or it abandons it's pursuit of nuclear weapons and the West stops having issues with Iran. Iran got attacked by the West when it doesn't clearly have nukes, which is a bit of irans fault,because the ambiguity that created conditions for war were created by Iran. Respectfully.

to be fair they got the number of missiles and launchers totally wrong especially at the height of the war they started off saying only 3000 thousand missiles 400 launchers at one point they were saying low hundreds than a week later they were saying a thousand than 1500 same with the launchers lowest at one was like 50 to 100 tops Mossad may have Kurdish and illegal aliens who can be sent to spy on certain things but even Israel doesn’t know exactly what’s in those missile bases

I think the Achilles heal for Iran is the launchers themselves, and not the missiles. Iran may have gotten back to pre-war levels of these launchers are per the previous post, but Iran needs to find a better way of protecting them(and building a lot more).

Don't pay too much attention.

A launcher is easier to build than a missile. It is not necessary to manufacture fuel with extremely dangerous and harzaous chemicals, nor complex guidance systems or armored warheads.

Even more, being just commercial trucks modified they can be assembled in any workshop.

They just were especulating half of month ago with number of missiles stored and with missiles that calculus become even more unrealistic.
