Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

question is full of what? if they had lots of dollars the local currency would not be tanking like it has been

This kind of phrasing usually means enough dollars to meet basic import needs until 2028.

In which case, that’s not incompatible with falling exchange rate.

If you have exchange controls, even if you had a surplus, exchange rate would still fall.

If this statement came out of a south Asian central banker - I would call it BS.

But this is Iran. They have significantly higher IQ than south Asians, let alone low IQ Arabs.

They have managed to survive, with excruciating sanctions, without begging to the IMF and Arabs with a begging bowl.

South Asians, especially ones here, should show some respect to the Persians. Unlike them, Iran has never brought out the begging bowl!!

Your making lots of assumptions with a lack of facts. My question still stands, how much dollars Iran has in reserves is key, because a lack of dollars will continue to tank the value of their currency.
