Ping ms will become slightly high between certain European-Asian locations. Connections would be down till servers reroute. Asia's traffic to europe will have to make a longer trip eastwards via 2-3 oceans.

yeah, besides most of bandwidth is wasted in entertainment (video).

economic transactions use a minimal bandwidth, it never will be affected, just slow down some video streaming services (not all, because most use local cdn servers in same country)

If 10-20 ships cross the strait a day and only 1-2 get hit that means 90% got thru. That’s manageable odds for the U.S.

Iran is certainly getting paid something for this by Qatar/UAE/Iraq/Kuwait but not enough to cover their oil budget.

Iran is stuck in controlled escalation loop. Keep oil above $100 thru mid terms and then re-evaluate once the democrats get into congress.

Iran has not decided to go all out as you highlighted. That would bring the certainty of war and likely global condemnation. It seems Iran is content on waiting for war to be initiated by the other side.

*Alternative opinion regarding current dynamics between Iran and Pakistan*

If Pakistan is serious about helping US in its war against Iran,per next round of fighting, then Iran should already be consulting with the Taliban on how Iran could help them in their border struggle with Pakistani troops. Eye for an eye ..no mercy for any enemies DURING wartimes ,but Pakistan is luckily the Iran has high level of patience and tolerance for it, so Iran probably won't do that. Pakistan already betrayed Iran by unleashing the Balochi insurgency in its border area on Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan region and security forces stationed there. Sooner or later, Iran will have to " reconcile it's books" with Pakistan.
