The enitre issue comes down to Iran not having an airforce and the Israelis found out about this and exploited it big time.

If Iran even had the size of Kuwait´s airforce there would have been an epic dog-fight over Iranian airspace as Kuwait has 27 F-18 Hornets and 15 Euro Typhon with Air to Air missiles raning from 200-300 km.

Iran has neglected it´s airforce entirely making them completely naked. I use to tell them about this 3-4 years ago that missiles won´t win you conflicts but they were obsessed with it and neglected the airforce entirely
