The Israeli army on Sunday called on citizens to take shelter after detecting new missile launches from Iran toward Israel as the two foes kept up intense fighting for the third day.

Israel launched an air offensive against Iran on Friday, killing commanders and scientists and bombing nuclear sites in a stated bid to stop Tehran building an atomic weapon, which the latter has consistently denied, saying its uranium enrichment programme is for civilian purposes.

“Sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the identification of missiles from Iran toward the state of Israel,” the military said in a statement.

“At this time, the (air force) is operating to intercept and strike where necessary to eliminate the threat,” it said, instructing citizens to seek shelter as AFP journalists heard sirens in Jerusalem.

Israel is ready to absorb large number of Iranian ballistic missiles and wants Iran to exhaust its ballistic missile arsenal in tit-for-tat strikes before US+Germany+France+UK+Italy join the war.

Lets be realistic, Iranian missile arsenal might not be as big as you people here assume and it is finite, while Israel and its allies can conduct infinite number of airstrikes.

So Iran should spend its missiles not on military, but on economic targets in Israel to impose costs.

Conserve ballistic missile arsenal and spend them only to take out a major Israeli powerplant, semiconductor chip factory and Israeli refinery and so on.

Pakistan has absolutely no interest in pushing 'terrorists' into Iran. What purpose would that serve?? Have you looked at Pakistan's security situation since the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979? It is a shitshow as those Mujahideen and their spawned serpents are targeting and killing Pakistanis all over the place with India's backing.
It is amazing how little informed some Iranians are.

The purpose was a slap in the face of anyone who thinks Pakistan is the sole victim in the region. But please can you point out where I said Pakistan has an interest in doing so? But it is a fact that terrorists do come out of Pakistan, this is admitted by Pakistani government so please get your head out of the sand. I'm not talking about 1979, I'm talking about today, now! It's fair to say that many regional players are backing these groups at one another. Politics is a dirty game and Pakistan is no stranger at playing it, just like Iran, Saudi, India and the rest.
