I don’t understand why you are obsessed with aircraft radars … and not just a ground based AESA radar? There are loads of those types around and far easier to do what you’re suggesting that aircraft on the ground…..

I was assuming that ground based radars would take longer to setup and operate. If they can be set up quickly, fine.

Also, aircraft can be moved around quickly which is harder to do with bigger fixed platforms.

Remember, Israel has access to constant monitoring by NATO's best tech so we need things that are as mobile as possible. 5gen aircraft also come with advanced EW tools . Everything bundled up in a nice mobile package.
