Some Pakistanis have no spine. Iran helped Pakistan in 1965 and 1971 wars. It’s a right thing to do for them. We can afford it . Pakistan interests in Iran are to important not to support Iran. Fall of Iran is an existential threat to very Pakistan existence itself. Nothing else matters now.

Iran helped Pakistan because they had economic strength and an official military alliance pact with Pakistan (CENTO). Pakistan now has neither economic strength nor a military alliance pact with Iran. We bought HQ 9 for billions of dollars while just a few weeks ago we needed just $1 billion from IMF. We need to stay in our “aukaat”. We are in no position to help anyone no matter how much we fantasise.

Anyone here who thinks Pakistan will or should fight a war against the entire western war machine which Iran initiated alone, and its crippling economy and no clear military advantage is simply a fanboy.

It won't happen. Not Pakistan's war, very little benefit, and Pakistan possesses no magical weapon to change the tide. You are only asking for Pakistan to take self-destructive actions.

Haven't seen much opposition in the parliamentary session to the aforementioned scenario?

Most seem to be advocating 10 to 13 percent effort based on shared already troublesome border which may amount to relief efforts and diplomacy.

Pakistan may not have any magical weapon but 250 million people cannot be ignored if they reject this war aimed at conspiring global peace. She can speak from very close to the subject as she recently rejected war with India. I think it is within the realms of possibility that Pakistan can play her rightful part in de-escalating the unwarranted unjust conflict.

Quite a rational response from Government of Pakistan. Perso-Sind relations are on an upward trajectory as foreseeable future is of mutual convergence.

Well NPT was a agreement good will gesture from Iran. What was the end result ? From it ? We saw war in Syria , Lebnoon and Palestine. Finally the war came knocking on Iran's door steps

Since Iran's Nuclear scientist were targeted and Iran has evidence role IAEA played in this espionage , I can see why Iran is pulling out of Deal
Viewing the problem as a neutral bystander

Most of these initiatives are just means to give salaries to people working in these expensive "Bodies" which achieve nothing

Just few folks meet , sleep in expensive Hotels , do power point presentations , do Spy work


I have not actually seen any evidence that these IAEA people actually help improve anything related to Nuclear Power stations or systems

Like I said, Pakistan will ensure those core interests, no balkanisation attempts against Iran will be allowed. BLA/Jaish will be prevented.

Who here advocated sending Pakistani jets/missiles to Iran ? You are setting up strawman arguments. Help Iran in this war to the extent you can, diplomatic, technical, aid, spare parts and you will transform your relationship with a neighbor because you helped them in their time of need. In the future Iran will repay you many times over and be actual strategic depth for Pakistan, as opposed to idiotic strategic depth project Establishment pursued in Afghanistan for 50 years.

Turks and Chinese remember assistance from Pakistan in their time of need and have repaid it many times over. But Pakistan is missing this chance with Iran.
