Iranian defenses activated over Tehran, local news agency reports​

Iran’s air defenses have been activated over the capital Tehran, according to the state-affiliated Fars News Agency.

It said that a number of explosions were heard moments ago in the eastern part of the city.
 

White House official says Trump’s post urging Tehran evacuation reflects urgency for Iran to come to talks​

A White House official told CNN on Monday that President Donald Trump’s social media post telling Iranians to “immediately evacuate Tehran” reflected the urgency of the need for Iran to come to the table as its tit-for-tat with Israel continues.

The official said that Trump has been receiving regular updates from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other officials throughout the day while in the Canadian Rockies for the G7 summit.

Earlier Monday, a CNN team saw Vice President JD Vance, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine and other top aides gathering at the White House.

Trump suggested earlier Monday that he could soon strike a diplomatic agreement with Iran that would end its current conflict with Israel, saying action on such a plan could come as soon as he leaves the G7 summit in Canada.

“I think Iran basically is at the negotiating table where they want to make a deal, and as soon as I leave here, we’re going to be doing something,” Trump said at the summit, where the Middle East conflict has dominated discussions among world leaders.

Trump issues warning to Iranians: "Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!"​

President Donald Trump warned Iranians to evacuate their capital city in a social media post Monday.

“Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” the president wrote on Truth Social, without saying why.
Israel has been bombarding Iran since early Friday, and the two nations have launched escalating back-and-forth strikes at each other.

In his post, Trump repeated his assertion that Iran should have agreed to a deal curbing its nuclear ambitions.

“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON,” he wrote. “I said it over and over again!”

Tehran is a city of nearly 10 million people.

PLease do not post tweets like this at this time. It is causing unnecessary concern about our Iranian friends - until the White House or a trusted source comes out with something please avoid spreading panic.

remember we have members on this thread who have loved ones inside Iran, you may see this as shits and giggles but for many Iranians here this is very personal.
