Imagine if Zion did not have Iron Dome at all, the destruction would've been hundreds of times multiplied.
Just the we're seeing the destruction in Iran for not having a robust air defence backed by a capable air force.
It feels as though Iran had put all its eggs in it's ballistic missile program and proxies, and not keeping pace with all technological advanced being made in all segments of armed forces.
So far, it seems Iran's response is similar to how Armenia responded to Azerbaijan, with the latter adopting modern warfare while Armenia still relied on the 20th century warfare.
Iran has had very strong relations with Russia for a very long time but they seem to be unreliable. I think even India learnt this lesson in 2019 and again last month, that Russia is not Soviet Union and Russia is not going to come out gunslinging to anyone's aid during wartime. ... Well Russia did try in Syria and lost the whole country along with their airbases and the naval base.
I just wish Iran had better prepared it's air force and not neglected it totally for nearly half-a-century.
