Now you see the issue; during the Cold War, rather than keeping the balance, the smaller actors have provided too much monetary and technical knowledge to one side, and that power is now acting just like Musk.

You should only feed a monster so much that you are still able to restrain it in a cage.

Scientific research has been lost after an Iranian missile struck the Weizmann Institute of Science, according to employees of the institute.

The institute works on scientific and medical advancements, and its Professor Ada Yonath won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2009 for mapping the ribosome. It has also collaborated with the military and defense companies, including Elbit Systems, a leading Israeli defense company that specializes in drones and naval, land and aerial weapons.

Two scientists at the center, Eran Segal and Eldad Tzahor, said on X that their lab was destroyed by the strike, sharing images of the destruction.

Mor Moria Shipony, a graphic designer at the center, told CNN the labs had been “completely burnt down.”

“My colleagues conducted years-long research and had equipment worth millions of dollars — and now it’s all gone,” she said.
She said they almost considered staying at shelters in the center, “but thankfully we decided not to. Fortunately, only property was damaged, which makes us feel very lucky.”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the site of the strike today, where he stressed that “Iran will try havoc, death, destruction. We will continue promoting life, liberties, civil liberties, and, of course, democracy and the plight for peace as we believe in.”

Israel has also targeted three key Iranian nuclear facilities — Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow — and several top scientists involved in nuclear research and development, some of whom were killed with their families in their homes.

Based on the reports that I read, that "research center" also engages with nuclear weapons development.
 
It could sound traitorous, but Iran should take a deal that stops the enrichment only, with a guarantee from the US that Iran can buy conventional weapons from China without sanctions or pressure

Have you ever wondered, why take out Iran?
Wasn't the current world order already conducive to the Western collective? Then what is it that they are constantly trying to carve?

The world is not stationary, in a binary between if I win you must lose. You have to constantly mow the grass. Why Russia, China or smaller states in Mideast be constantly bombed into submission and show up at their borders with another five figure horde every few years?

As I have said earlier the collective never cared for secular or religious... it is and was a personal choice... west has tried to engineer each to meet their goals. So it doesn't matter if it was the same Iran headed by the Shah. No one will commit suicide to please the west, which is why they do the dirty work themselves.

As to the cost, I do not think for a minute that zion had priced it correctly. They assumed under their hubris, the threats, show of force and taking out key elements will achieve the desired results. The regime will crumble and baby shah will posted on the throne till someone changes their mind again. IT DID NOT WORK!

Why must the winner seek to threaten the opponent out of existence when everything is working just fine? It is not working fine... instead the whole edifice is hanging in the balance. The US is having one of the worst years financially... it cannot go to a sustained war. The masses hate the warmongering neocons. Which is why the orange clown won on a no war platform. If Iran is to use it's full array of choices and cards it has to play, ones they folded or threatened but never intended... they can cause real harm... one that will take years to mend.

Zion has no choice but war. It is not integrated in the region... politically and economically. If things go south in the west they face annihilation. The only way to get what they want is pave their way on a road of skulls... with an air of unchallenged superiority. Once complete they can force their hand as they want/wish internally. People will just join in and forget old wounds... just as former colonial master employed their colonized slaves... paid to work and die for the west to achieve what it has...
