It's not just Shah supporters. If you want this regime to stay, a ceasefire is in the best interest.

If Iran goes out to attack it will be game over for the regime. It's not simple. Hence some people are wary of Iran overextending.

It's not a 'regime' its the chosen government of Iran.

'Regime change' is much harder to do with just air strikes, typically you need ground invasion or populist uprising--which hasn't happened yet.

As long as Iranian army and IRGC remain united (e.g. no fragmentation) and the IGRC leadership is resilient they can withstand this assault. They are after all the largest power faction in the country.

The Iranian government isn't propped up by foreign powers so it's much harder to bring 'regime' change.

At the same time, we never know what Israel-US are planning, just know it's not going to be easy for them to remove the government there.

The hadith you refer to is the war that happens after the black banners defeat Israel and come after the governance of the Mahdi. In the war referred to the hadith a coalition comprising of all Muslim states will fight. And one third will run,one third die and one third will win. So you are not getting the context right.
