If the Jews wanted to come back to the holly land it could perhaps have been done peacefully in dialogue with Middle Eastern players, without the involvement of the Westerners. History is full of precedents where Muslims (Arabs and Turks/Ottomans) went out of their way to accommodate Jews, including invasion of Spain and later their evacuation when Spain fell to Christendom. Modern day Israel is not a project of the Jews but of Zionists, many of whom actually do not believe in God. Zionists employed influx, coercion, and regime changes tactics through the indebted European colonizers.
The Jewish population that began arriving in the Palestine were seeking a real state while the Zionist founders were seeking real estate. Current Israeli regime members are real estate agents and developers. They'll kill and are killing innocent Palestinians and others in the region to grab their land, start building projects on them, and sell them to settlers. This is what the real estate developers do where ever they are. When it comes to real estate nobody shares them, not even with your kin. Of course, they'll push each other around for space, be it in a bunker. Given enough time things might turn violent also.
Essence of a state is "security" for it people, and all actions of Israeli leadership have made Israelis and other people in the region more insecure. If there is a need for a regime change its in Israel, not Iran.
