TOTALLY WRONG! I would pick Iran in a heart beat. Why you compared Tehran vs Tel Aviv. War is between whole of Iran versus whole of Israel.
Iran has massive depth, the whole terrain is very complex. I can easily go to any city at eastern borders of Iran. There are literally 1000s of towns & villages spread across. Such a resilient nation. But in Israel, all I have to do is run between bunker to my residence and keep watching alerts.

Right. Large landmass and large population are definitely advantages. Human beings are not warring along some 'Star Wars' or 'Star Trek' conflicts. Resources are limited, firing powers are limited, escape speed and places are limited...

Why are the Iranians announcing attacks targets before?

It's part of psychological warfare.

1) Show of dominance to Israel that they can strike anywhere, and accurately even after announcing.

2) Prepare for a feint. To set them up and launch the missiles to a different location instead ( similar to in cricket. Its like bowling a bouncer, after bowling a length ball).
