I've posted already a couple of times my my own thoughts. The President is in a tough spot. The MAGA base (the sane ones at least) and a lot of Democrats are opposed. A section of the MAGA base is wondering "why haven't we just ended this already?" And then there is the Deep State - Military Industrial Complex. Wars are good for their portfolios.

Already, the spin doctors are out there trying to drum up support. I just came from lunch with a few people who made their position clear.

By delaying this two weeks, the President is sending everyone a message. He's taking a page right out of President Lincoln's playbook. Lincoln was famous for writing letters to someone he was angry with, put them away overnight, and by the next day, after he had a chance to reconsider, throw the letter away. I think we're seeing similar here. Yes, he still maintaining current position; unconditional surrender. Yet, the message is clear.

Remember, it wasn't that long ago that he said "60 days". Not too late to sit down in a backroom somewhere. If Oman is not acting as the intermediary then it's likely Pakistan. Someone is.

You will find that the "shia-sunni schism" is notarised and amplified mostly by orientalist commentators, to feed the appetites of uneducated populists who seem to thrive off a narrative of sectarianism. None of us living out our lives actually notice such matters.

I would add that it isn't just a matter of the direct Israeli provocation of Pakistan during the recent border clash with India, but also the simple fact that Israel's actions are morally reprehensible.

I am not surprised at all, all ordinary people from mentioned countries and wider are mostly with Iran, political and military ineptitude of official states and inability to overcome petty bickering and establish proper and fruitful cooperation due zillions complex historical and geopolitical condition never reflected ordinary people sentiments.
And yes, online dawa scene might clouded that perception due their loud voice and online presence but that is not real life.
