I can’t help but see a potential strategic play in Netanyahu’s recent escalation with Iran, and I’m wondering if others are picking up on this too. The timing feels too convenient to ignore. For weeks, the world’s been laser-focused on Gaza, where Israel’s actions have drawn intense scrutiny some of the harshest I’ve seen in years, with protests, UN resolutions, and media coverage hammering away at allegations of genocide and humanitarian fallout. Then, almost like clockwork, the Iran-Israel tension and suddenly, Gaza’s pushed to the back burner.
Here’s my take, this could be a deliberate pivot by Netanyahu to shift the narrative. By ramping up the conflict with Iran, Israel not only diverts global attention but also flips the script. Instead of being cast as the aggressor in Gaza, Israel now gets to play the victim card. It’s a classic move to rally USA/Western support, especially in the U.S. and Europe, where public opinion has been souring on Israel’s Gaza genocide. Portraying Iran as the big bad wolf could win back some sympathy and remind white West why Israel’s security concerns resonate with their own. These strikes could amplify the “Israel under attack” narrative.
The timing and the narrative shift raise red flags. Is this about countering Iran, or is it a calculated effort to change the conversation and buy Israel some breathing room on the Gaza front? or killing two birds with one stone?
