weight means carry more payload I guess. Jf17 being lighter can even tank big flankers and f15. its the EW and radar and other avionics that matter. jf17 has all as j10 just a lil bit maybe low in range.

Pakistan is not helping anyone. Forget the past when PAF instructors were in Jordan and Syria and they took on the IDFAF.

Range does matter for a large country like Iran, they should have acquired JF-17s and J-10s in a high lo mix

No it brings other limitations as well. payload is not an issue when all iran would need is to deny its air space. but the actual issue came in the radar and other sensors due to low thrust of engine power.

Would be interesting to know how these work against granite bedrock. concrete is pretty soft material compared to granite, And the Mountain is not flat.

Thats another thing. i talked with iranian perspective if they need to modernise their airforce than what are the best options for them. One thing i must say of all the muslim countries in the world i have a very soft corner for yemen. yemeni are genuine people with a big heart. I have a very good experience with almost all of them. If ever yemen became stable again i would love PAF help them build their airforce ofcourse after GCC having normal relationship with them

I don't quite understand why people are jumping to support Iran in everything, Iran hasn't exactly been a good friend to us.
