So basically Iranian leaders discussed with the Trump administration about their nuclear sites to be bombed but their regime would not be overthrown. How is that normal for the IR leaders? Do they only care about regime survival? Something is very odd here.

Iran can't attack the US directly. Iran can attack the US interests in the region, covertly. Iran has all the means to effectively do that.

I think No need to attack US directly or covertly. IR has to play it smart. They need time to rebuilt their BM capabilities to next level, have to make air-defense, and even airforce. Infact this covert business / proxies shouldn't be a priority. Instead investment should be done on real capabilities at home.

However, for Israel.. hell yes, keep giving them hell. Try best to not give any excuse to US to start a larger campaign over Iran.

Trump will anmounce that if Iran doesn’t stop responding to israel, the US will bomb targets in Iran. Essentially, bomb their nuclear sites, and then bully them to accept it andnto also stop responding to israel. I am saying it for the folks in the back, without anstrong determined response, Iran will be violated abd humiliated.

People need to calm down.

The way I'm reading this is that this was coordinated with Iran. Basically Trump informed them before hand that they would bomb those sites to satisfy his neocons but not escalate. Iran would withdraw their people before hand and watch the drama play out.

Now the question is, what needs to be done to get to a ceasefire? Because if the US is demanding that Iran needs to give up all nuclear capability or even ballistic missile capability, then the situation will continue escalating.

Attack US interests in the region.. the top one is Israel. Iran shouldn't stop that.

U.S., (and USSR and others too) has tested hundreds of weapons in Nevada (underground facilities) with no detectable radiation above ground. These were real weapons, not a pile of enriched material.

Those was controlled tests with many material filled all the gaps prior to detonation.
When a bomb break a bunker and exploded uncontrolled, something must be leaked
