To be effective resistance you have to be willing to fight it out and follow through with the plan. Not call it quits and run away from battlefield.

It’s not the immediate kinetic loses but the loss of trust. Any one that values strategic autonomy, like France, will build their needs domestically or buy from a third party (like their recent decision to buy the Erieye). Economic ramifications for this, at least in the eastern hemisphere will last for decades.
