Actually, while the UNSC is toothless, it can still serve a purpose if/when the Big Powers would agree on something and thus it is kept intact. Any UN Member state, in theory, is bound to obey UNSC binding Resolutions. Even Trump is not disbanding the UN because the American diplomats know the potentials one day.

US was not that crazy until 1980s. Israel was a friend of US. But US was not that crazy to defend it as if Israel owes US. US was not crazy enough to pour billions of dollars of economic & military aid every year, It wasn't crazy enough to jump into wars for Israel. Also, Islamic countries were more independent back then, they used to strongly oppose Israel back then, Even had enough balls to attack it collectively. Islamic countries used to had guts to say truth and were kinda independent. Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Jordan all those countries had a backbone and were able to oppose US/Israel. All of these are either destroyed now or converted into a puppet state with full control of US / Israel over them. I see total and constant decline in last 60 years or so of islamic countries, especially the ones in proximity of Israel. They can't do a damn thing when even israel commits a genocide. Its so depressing that instead of gaining strength, now the countries around it are in submission or made extremely weak. It was thought that after colonization era, all these countries will slowly progress, independent and powerful. and it did happened till 1980s. But after that its constant decline. We are witnessing total collapse, one state after another. Something really happened during that period, that Israel OR its lobby got a hold over United States. With the US support Israel trampled all over its neighborhood. Hope all these countries like Libya, Syria, Iraq will recover and gain strength and maybe able to become independent again.

I think it has something to do with oil producing countries were becoming more independent. Irans oil consortium agreement expired in 1979, the shah refused to sign it and the revolution happened in 79. Ive watched tons of videos and interview and even read books on this topic. The only oil producing country that was actively trying to lower the price of oil was Saudi. I think the US and the west, especially the UK saw how vulnerable its economy was to rising oil prices, and after the oil embargo they realized they have to adopt a new foreign policy to ensure no oil producing country can be independent and blackmail the west again. I think this is where Israel came more actively into the picture. The US gave Israel and Mossad more power, and they were betrayed just like how the Jews betrayed anyone who ever helped them.

Brits want Iran to "exercise maximum restraint" "engage with nuclear watchdog".

Just a refresher for the Brits - Iran was engaged with nuclear watchdog - and Iran is the aggrieved party under Art 2(4) of the UN charter.

Well it was nice to see the handful of countries who are supporting the draft resolution. Interesting to gauge the mood.

Words over action are pretty much meaningless cut off ties to Israel reduce economic ties to America for freakin sake tell them your not investing 100s of billions of dollars into americas very very fragile economy and in the end if china whose the only real superpower after America is serious send in 10 thousand soldiers into Iran and say guys it’s over we are here go back to your airbases we are showing strength to make peace but if a missiles hits us your going to see a million mad Chinese soldiers all over the world

Pakistan needs to work to having at least 1200 nuclear warheads that can be delivered by land, sea and air. We also need them to be high-yield and thermonuclear nukes. Pakistan also needs a massive arsenal of hypersonic missiles.

I guess even 300 warheads is enough but having a global reach is more important. If US decides to hit our nuclear infrastructure, we can't do jackshit because our nukes pose no deterrence against US because of lack of delivery system. Building ICBMs can put us under sanctions as these are specifically built for nuclear delivery, So I think our best bet is acquiring nuclear powered subs. These can be a great deterrence as these have global reach.

Let's hope they will not do another stupid thing and retaliate against America. America won't take part in a full scale war or even a persistent aerial campaign unless they are attacked. So the idiotic Khamenei and the idiotic leadership might just do the exact idiotic thing and attack US instead of focusing solely on wiping out Israel. Well the resolution is being circulated - council members will review - it - give suggestions - change language - hopefully come to something workable.
