According to Chinese reports back then, Iran finally decided to get SU-35, not Chinese J-10CE. The arms sanction was lifted in 2020, 5 years later still not a single SU-35 in Iran, don't know what happened.

guess which country is the largest oil producing country in the world. This isn't the 1980's when the US was reliant on middle eastern oil. Plus without air cover Iranian navy will be sitting ducks in the strait. You can't selective block shipping based on destination of the cargo. The shipment could be headed for refineries in Singapore, India or China and the condensates sold to Israel by these countries. More Iranians will die in the pursuit of this madness. During the Iraq Iran war, Iran tried to block Iraqi shipments and lost its Navy (operation praying mantis) and Iran Air Flight 665 was shot down during that period.

The reason why Iran should have had nuclear weapons and a proper air force.

Maths may be working in Iran's favour here. Iran is not a poor country, ballastic medium range missile tech it has mastered and can make relatively cheaply. A lot of missiles and make them quicker then Israel can make Arrow/Iron Dome.
If Iran has managed to save a lot of it's missiles from being destroyed, could we now soon start seeing the point where Israel runs out of interceptors?> After all US does not make them and cannot resupply
