Instead of trusting India, Iran should choose to befriend Pakistan. The two neighbors rely on each other and together they can deal with their common enemy, Israel. That is the right approach.

I also think that's a much better and right choice for them to be real good friend of Pakistan instead of trusting India, after all one really needs good neighbors. I don't know if their branch of religion affects their choices.

I don't think you even read what I posted. Please spare me a response if you won't take time to understand what you read. I mentioned Khamenei's hesitant leadership. The reason that whole of axis of resistance fell down like a house of cards is because of the error in strategy, not tactics but strategy that was made post October 7. From then on we have let Gaza be destroyed. Hezbollah being obliterated and The fall of Assad, meaning we can no longer provide support the hezbollah or probe Israel by a land force.

There has been too many mistake and all has come with a "pacifist" strategic stance which caused us to lead ourselves into inactions where decades of structures and systems that were put into place were obliterated systematically right in front of our very noses.

Before this attack, Iran touted itself as heavily defended with AD systems. I have seen Iranian members saying in the forum they prepared for a war with the US and lot of USAF assets will be shot down or even be able to get into Iranian airspace. Now Israeli drones are roaming freely. Either IRGC lied all this time or completely overestimated their capability.

These are the kind of targets that need to go - vital installations. Power stations, major arterial roads, ports, defensive positions, logistics hubs. If Iran can still launch missiles - should target lines of communications.

One is a Shia state and one is a Sunni state.

But I don't think that's the problem. Are the differences between Shia and Sunni greater than the differences between Shia and Hindu or Sunni and atheist?

India has very close relations with Israel. If Iran maintains close relations with India, then of course other countries will be suspicious of its real intentions.

And here is the problem... Iran has its coast replete just for this scenario. There is a reason why they can effectively shutdown the straights. Besides that fuel is no longer headed west... it goes to China. Another way to get China involved for its energy security.

Chinese are not desperate for Iranian oil, they get more from Russia. Imports from Iran had already shrunk considerably by April 2025.

On top of that closing of the straight does not mean Iran will stop selling or delivering oil to China but prevent oil from other regional countries from delivering their oil to other countries such as South Korea, Japan, India, etc.
