Israel's ever increasing roll call of enemies includes: the defenders, the people standing behind the defenders, those reporting on their behaviour, those calling out their behaviour, but also the land, the buildings, the graveyards, the olive groves, the cedar trees, the livestock, the farms, the rivers, the sea, and life and death itself.
There is nothing remotely "sophisticated" about this method of warfare, whose end game is total eradication of preexisting and flourishing peoples. It could be termed "efficient" certainly, but so were Genghis Khan's barbarian hordes and Hitler's SS.
