I disagree, I think they're just horrifically, unbelievably naive. Either way they're not fit to run the nation.

And why? I mean if that is true, then is it anything other than treason?

Iranians are smart and capable strategists, but the system has either purged them or never given them a chance. It doesn’t allow strong, independent-minded leaders to emerge, because anyone with real backbone might challenge the establishment. That’s why so many of those left in charge are just yes-men.

During the Iran-Iraq War, many of Saddam’s generals opposed the war or the strategy because it was so flawed, but no one dared tell him the reality. They hid casualties and defeats, and sometimes pretended they’d won battles simply because they were afraid of him. We face the same problem. I’m sure there are people against holding back and just negotiating, or against being overly pro-Russia when it doesn’t serve our interests. But no one has the courage to speak up. The ones who would have are long since sidelined or were never even given a chance to rise.

I was referring to lapses in the security apparatus in Iran that allowed these Mossad-orchestrated networks to be setup and grow in Iran for years without being detected. The overwhelming majority of attacks on Iranian ADS, missile launchers, nuclear scientists, and #IRGC commanders came from these terrorist networks. So arresting these networks is good now, but how was it possible that they were not detected in all of the years that Mossad was cultivating these networks? I think Iran needs an independent commission to investigate these failures.
