If a country is buying Russian oil, Russians are definitely not processing their payments through the SWIFT banking system; they're either using CHIPS or SPFS. And if such country not trading with America, how the Trump's tariffs will affect them remains to be seen.

Spy recruitment grows in broken and scattered societies. Yemen is nothing like Iran. Most Yemenis are deeply religious and united under one banner either the Houthis or the Saudi camp. And both sides see the Jews as infidels and despise them.

Iran, on the other hand, is a completely different story. The Jewish state — aside from these last 45 years under IR rule — never had any real problems with any Iranian government (Shah became a critic later on but nothing serious). The Arab-Jewish conflict was never a serious talking point for the average Iranian.

That’s exactly why infiltration and collaboration can take root so easily. A broken society (due to internal IR policies) with no cultural or political anti Israel instinct is a breeding ground for foreign intelligence.

Actually these are no minor things at all. They reveal exactly where the priorities of these guys are.

When the head (Sardar) of the IRGC aerospace force..the guy replacing Hajizadeh — shows up on national TV with a wrinkled shirt, what exactly do you expect in terms of professionalism from these people?

If that’s the standard at the top, it tells you everything about the rest.

To be honest, I wouldn’t even be surprised if this guy or his relatives are sitting there using American iPhones and using windows PC's or Macs.

It’s a complete disaster and it's not something you can fix with replacements, executions etc. When the leg is rotten, it has to be amputated. Simple as that.

the Zionist regime was only created 75 years ago and even under the Shah the people did not have any love for it (though this sentiment was censored). the Shah himself said the Jews control the West and the media and the banks etc. Jew Monarchists like to ignore that part though, lol.

but even if we agree on some points, your love for the Zionist Jews is despicable and I will never respect you while you favour them over Iranians. the Zionists slaughtered so many Iranian children and families and women and scientists that they are our eternal enemies.

In the 50s, 60s, and even the 70s, Israel wasnt some big topic among the average Iranian. Global tech and communication weren’t like today. Some random guy in Tehran back then was not even aware of the things happening in his own hometown/village let alone some geopolitical event happening far away.

We have a polarized society. Millions of monarchists inside and outside Iran are deeply loyal to the throne and see Israel as an ally. Then you got a few million hardcore religious types inside Iran the hardcore pro Khamenei crowd.

Then you have again a big gray area of people who dontt give a damn about any ideology as long as they can live their lives. Add in the communists, LGBT communities, and all the lesser known groups, and you’ve got a society that’s completely fragmented.

I have to remind that the 1980 generation learned its loyalty and love for the nation under Mohammad Reza Shah. Yes, those same guys who went fearlessly under Iraqi tanks and blew themselves up with empty hands sat down in the classes of Mohammed Reza. They grew up during his rule, got educated in proper schools, learned real history, real national pride etc. That’s where they learnt patriotism.

Now look at the mess we have today. This is the result of 45+ years of IR upbringing. A generation raised on paranoia,cheap propaganda, fake enemies and empty promises. A society now that produces spies to spy on their own homeland.

This is what happens when you let clerics run a country like its their personal charity organization for half a century.

No need to make it personal dadash. You used to be quite open minded but it seems this last war which completely exposed and humiliated IR on the world stage really took a toll on your mental health. This was of course a wild wake up call for people who believed in IR propaganda.

Instead of picking on the ideology of random Iranians online maybe take a step back and actually read up on why our society turned out like this. What went wrong? What needs to change to fix it? And most importantly what should be done going forward?
