Why didn’t they do this in 2009? Why didn’t they do this after Mahsa riots? This is what steady implosion looks like a la Soviet Union. Only when they are losing their grip do they relent to try to retain order. Assad did similar failed tactics.

It’s hard to know who is even ‘leading’ the country these days.

Honestly the fact that Iran removes stupid religious laws isn't bad, actually, the religious faction in Iran lost much influence while the Pasdaran and military are enjoying renewed popularity

Al Mayadeen quoted its (Iranian?) sources as saying “the US is trying to make a coalition of Arab states, “to stop Iranian vessels, prevent Iran oil exports or delivery of sensitive technologies”.

IRI needs to very clear that any attempt by neighbouring states to impede free movement of Iranian vessels will be regarded as an act of war and will trigger an immediate and crushing military response targeting their ports in retaliation

Europe and the u.s. are trying to enforce their sanctions through enlistment of gulf Arab prostitutes.

Of course. But there are still stubborn dumbasses pushing back on this. Even in this forum we still have these people.

Oh come on, people are allowed to have their thoughts, yet to me such thing is just a side effect of a real background change :
- active war with Iran possibly replaced with sanctions, these are delegated to local lackeys (turkey, gulf states, etc...)
- religious AND reformists losing influence in Iran
- pasdaran retaking political edge (with people such as Larijani, Renaissance, etc...)
- our military spending tripling, if not more with focus on new equipments (ICBMs, jets, etc....)

No matter how much garbage the likes of fake accounts, such as Mohsen Reyhani, yammer, it does not change anything on the ground.
1-Iran is a nuclear weapons state.
2-The NPT is dead. There is no future cooperation between Iran and the IAEA. What you see is all optics.
3-Iran will continue to enrich.
4-You can't win a war from the air. The U.S. is in no position to invade Iran.
The biggest enemy is within. You do not need to be an economist to see the fraud. How can a country with a trade surplus have hyperinflation and devaluation of its currency? Who sets the exchange rate? It is called financial fuckery.

The U.S, with a $2 trillion deficit, is running an annual inflation rate of 5%.
No matter how much Israel fanboys cheer, the facts do not change.

On a somewhat positive note, it seems that the regime has decided not to alienate Iranians. Hopefully, we will see some accountability and see the aghazadeha behind bars soon. I know it is a reach, but history repeats itself.

Sorry, Israel fanboys. Israel, that you worship, just lost one of the excuses for the next unnecessary war. By the way, F.U. from here to that shit hole Tel Aviv where you reside.

Now people can see why I said that the Islamic Republic was forced by China to normalize their ties with Saudi Arabia.
Arabs are our enemies. The whole idea of normalization of ties with Saudi Arabia was the Islamic Republic folding to Chinese pressure as usual.

We can never be friends with our neighboring Arab states.
UAE and Saudi Arabia, but I have to say SA is calibrated compared to UAE....UAE is basically an outpost for Israel and the US. We have to teach UAE a lesson, sooner or later....they're getting too big for their britches.

How is this a move in the right direction ?
You realise the enemies of GOD have been spending immense amounts of resources & focus to subvert the Iranian nation. That “Gharb Parast” segment of Iranian society is the most dangerous threat to Iranian nation.

This is an absolutely slippery slope & they wouldn’t stop here. There were a few laws passed in Pakistan a decade ago under similar sort of pressure & the effects of those on Pakistani society have been fatal to the least.

Let’s see if you’d look back in a decades time & reflect on it in a positive manner.

That's why I have repeatedly said that Iran's need for nuclear weapons first and foremost is to play the madman policy by targeting energy infrastructure in our neighboring countries. At some point, we will be forced to do that and I'm 100% sure that the IR can never go in that direction without ultimate form of deterrence, i.e. nuclear deterrence.
Let's focus on the reality.....the reality is on multiple occasions we've heard the Supreme Leader and then the President, along with the foreign minister say Iran will not develop a nuclear weapon. So, we can say all we want....but as long as the old man is the leader, it won't happen. It's probably the reason he's still alive.....the West wants his backwards edict in force. Perhaps we can rehash this subject after he's gone, but for now it's a moot point.

I know, but we don't have that much time left.

Some people here do not understand how progress and economics work.
If your regional adversaries are getting even 5% ahead of you each year, in 20 years, there will be an ocean of difference between us and them. And AI will only make this rate worse against us.

Iran is falling behind, our enemies are encircling us, approaching our red lines and even crossing them at will. Meanwhile, the society can no longer tolerate economic pressure. A highly-educated young guy with years of experience is barely paid $1000 in Iran. Minimum wage is now $130. Our economy is not sustainable. Too much liquidity is generated every year and it is not absorbed by the sectors that can help our economy grow or produce goods and services. We will face an implosion very soon.

Its strange that such a post is coming from you.

Im honestly surprised you guys havent learned anything from the recent war or from IR in general.

Do you realize what will happen if IR starts lobbing missiles at Bahrain, the UAE, and other Persian Gulf states?
the alternative is to accept these little fake states illegally boarding and inspecting and stopping our commercial vessels, which is unacceptable

UAE does not have the importance to the USA of Qatar

IRGC-ASF short range missiles are very accurate and UAE does not have BM defence shield of Israel, their air bases could actually be materially damaged with precision (they are even closer than Al Asad base in Iraq)

How the US funded Israel’s wars on Gaza, Lebanon, Iran

In addition to US public criticism of Israel’s actions in the Middle East, analysts say figures like the ones shown by the Costs of War Project’s reports may also draw ire from Americans frustrated by where their tax dollars are going.

“Budgets are about priorities, but even though Americans have the thinnest social safety net of any modern country, somehow we always seem to find billions upon billions of dollars to assist Israel in its various wars,” Duss said.

“Anyone who has ever tried to do a household budget can see how absurd it is, but it is also reflective of the broader corruption of American politics.

“It’s not just Israeli interests, it’s also the US industrial complex, who are making money hand over fist, because so much of this aid and assistance is not just arms sales but granting of assistance that’s going to a lot of US companies.”
Twin reports from the Costs of War Project find the US has backed Israel with more than $21bn since October 2023.
