I'm not sure about this news yet but it seems that hundreds of Hezbollah soldiers would enter Israeli soil.

That would be stupid… Lebanon and hezbollah need to stay out of this as much as possible.

Does this suggest that Iran let Israel know before hand? If so, would it be an attempt to down play the attack before it happens?

There are significant implications to this.

Dude everyone knows this was choreographed, only country that could have stopped this attack is America they weren’t going to intervene directly on Iranian territory. Iran let it known in advance they weren’t going to strike civilian targets, military targets etc, Israel gave iran a free pass after the consular bombing if Israel responds with an attack on iran they will have to ask permission by America to do so America isn’t going to keep intervening for Israel

Despite the ongoing attacks, I'm pretty sure that the Americans won't attack Iran directly.

Only if their forces are directly attacked by Iran. It seems they are trying to knock the drones and missiles out, act as a "Shield"

Tehran has launched its first wave of ballistic missiles towards Israel, a source tells Iran's state news agency IRNA.

The missiles were fired at targets "deep" into the country, they add.

Please read years of information on Iranian doctrine that pervades its various theaters.

As a summary, Iran’s doctrine is comprised of exhausting the opponents’ defenses in initial waves CHEAPLY and subsequently follow up with significantly more powerful waves to destroy objectives. Again CHEAPLY.

Several thousand dollar systems are being ‘shot down’ by multimillion dollar munitions. Ideal.
