against opponent like Israel Muslim countries need nukes to keep Israel at bay

First, nuclear weapons are in fact a defensive weapon. Against a country like Israel, which lacks population and depth, offensive weapons should be used.

Secondly, Israel itself is not powerful. Its strength stems from the support of Western countries, especially the United States. It is impossible to defeat Israel without weakening the United States.

Thirdly, Iran should keep a low profile and conceal its intentions even if it wants nuclear weapons. Hasn't anyone noticed that in the United Nations, in all votes on Israel and Palestine issues, Israel loses badly by a margin of 200:2 (its only supporter is the US). But if the issue of nuclear proliferation is involved, then Israel wins big? The Iranian government should recognize that anti-nuclear proliferation is absolute political correctness in global politics, and that no one is blatantly supporting Iran's development of nuclear weapons. Iran should lay low and not give Israel the opportunity to use this card to gain international support.

theyd be turned against pak.

idk y people forget iran was slinging missiles into pak not long ago.

In fact, Israel has no ability at all to influence the foreign policy of the Chinese government.

It is the group of four countries - Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Kuwait - that really has the ability to influence the Chinese government. These four countries account for about 40% of China's total oil imports.

It is not for nothing that the Chinese government has been working to mediate a political rapprochement between Iran and Saudi Arabia. That is why the inexplicable death of President Raisi caused a dramatic reaction in China.

Iran struck a Terrorists training camp deep in Pakistan. In retaliation, your PAF didn't bomb the IRGC that had launched the missile strike on the terror camp, but instead bombed a bunch of Pakistani citizens on the Iranian side of the border.

The PAF should have gone after you with Israel tbh. Anything to ensure you lots dont get the bomb.

Are you implying Pakistan side with Israel against a neighboring Muslim country?

I think this thread has run its course if the JCPOA military sanctions on Iran are renewed and both Russia and China "respect" those sanctions.

Whatever time windows there was for Iran to buy some fast jets to replenish air force has gone out of the window due to the usual Iranian dithering and confused decision making process that always seems to pull in opposite directs and is never in the interests of Iran itself.

@Musings

Can we please close this thread? The original source alone was nonsense and even if this "what-if" scenario was maybe interesting and entertaining for some time we are now totally off-topic and almost only political.

You made some great points and I say that same thing about Iran. This is NOT the time to try to verbally fight back. Put your head down, grow your economy and public welfare and buy military hardware that's advanced. Advancement in the military will start to push Isreal away. They've already seen the damage and that was Iran without an effective air force. So they need to continue to work on economy and building a stronger military and making relationships with bigger powers before continued discussions of "nuclear weapons". That's not happening and it will only cause more issues in the current situation.
