where in that video is there a 'beating'? she resists heavily and attacks the dementors but they do not beat her, they drag her. in the US that much resistance would get her tased if she is lucky.

obviously the real issue is that these random unarmed busybody women in chadors should not be policing women.

I believe these are growing pains. Right after the Revolution music was also very restricted. It’ll pass. Note, Iran has a deep music history so it quickly prevailed. I’m sure the Pashtun culture with Afghan underpinnings will similarly prevail.
