there is a lot of controversy in the UK about a large number of migrants/refugees coming to the UK via 'small boats' across the English Channel
new government statistics show that Iranians make up one of the largest groups of nationalities of people coming to the UK via these small boats:

Without foreign debt, Iranian Nominal GDP (World Bank Data) was around 650 Bln USD in 2013. In 2017-18 it was still ~500 Bln or 1.7.5 Trillion Trillion USD (GDP PPP). Things took a massive dip after that but there is sign of mild recovery. Nothing major can happen unless sanctions go away and there is investment in hydrocarbon sector which Russia, China PGCC wont allow easily unless they have a stake in it.
