it is very interesting to read the replies to this tweet. a few years ago it would have been full of monarchists and pro regime change replies. now the rhetoric has shifted a lot and they are pushing back against him.

Replies under a Twitter post are hardly a reliable indicator of whats actually happening in Iran. Both the monarchists and the regime use bots though the regime does it far more aggressively due to resources available.

I think it's a relatively good indicator that the strength of the opposition/monarchist/MEK voices is declining and Iranians are not so easily fooled by them

All Im saying is that Twitter or the internet isnt a real indicator of pro or antiregime numbers. Its just noise.
What actually matters is what happens on the ground.
The day we see at least 100,000 people gathered around Azadi Square openly calling for the overthrow of the IR thats when you can talk about real momentum. Until then everything else is just propaganda.
The majority of people in Iran are either just trying to survive under the IR system or are simply content with it.

Nazanin's tweets used to pull huge numbers
now her reach is small by comparison, and her replies have the usual Zionists but also a significant number of replies pushing back against her, which did not happen before.
yes I think that's right. most people don't want to be revolutionaries, they are just living their life to the best of their ability despite the many internal and external challenges.
but I find it interesting how the dynamics on social media have shifted in recent months.
