it is interesting that Amir Ali Hajizadeh was promoted to Major General after his martyrdom, while Bagheri, Salami, Ali Rashid, Soleimani, and Pakpour were promoted to Lieutenant General on their martyrdom.

it seems you can only be promoted by one position, and Hajizadeh was a Brigadier General when he was martyred, and the others were already Major General.

same story for Alireza Tangsiri.

it is a shame since Hajizadeh was commander of the IRGC-ASF for 16 years and built the missile forces from the ground up since the 80s/90s. and Tangsiri was commander of the IRGC-Navy for 8 years.

The national tree of Iran is the 'Cypress' (specifically the Mediterranean Cypress or Cupressus sempervirens). It is deeply embedded in the Iranian identity, symbolizing eternity, resilience, and spiritual growth.

Historical and Cultural Significance

1. Symbol of Eternity and Immortality:
Due to its evergreen nature and long lifespan, the cypress has long been a symbol of immortality and eternal life in Persian culture. It represents a state of being that remains unchanged regardless of the shifting seasons.

2. Presence in Persian Literature and Poetry:
The cypress (*Sarv*) is one of the most frequent motifs in classical Persian poetry (such as the works of Hafez and Rumi). It is often used as a metaphor for the "ideal human" or the "beloved," symbolizing grace, elegance, and an upright, honest character.

3. Architectural and Garden Influence:
The "Persian Garden" (Bagh), recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, heavily features the cypress. These trees were strategically planted to create a sense of order, peace, and a reflection of paradise on earth.

4. Spiritual Meaning:
In Sufism and mystical traditions, the upright stature of the cypress represents the soul's aspiration to rise toward the Divine and the steadfastness of a believer in the face of worldly hardships.

Characteristics of the Cypress Tree

Evergreen Foliage: The cypress maintains its lush green color throughout the year, which is why it is associated with permanence and vitality.
Upright Growth: The columnar variety grows tall and straight, symbolizing dignity and strength.
Durability: It is a hardy tree capable of withstanding various climatic conditions, reflecting the resilience of the Iranian people.
Fragrance and Wood: The wood is durable and aromatic, often used in traditional crafts and construction.

One of the most famous examples is the Ancient Cypress of Mehriz, which is believed to be thousands of years old, serving as a living testament to the deep historical roots of this tree in the Iranian plateau.

Guess, why Iranians never give up :
