Iranian Chill Thread

Something’s starting to smell here.
Let's have a realistic discussion. I want the west to fail in the Middle East just as anyone, they are not a force for Good, and I want Islam to prevail in Muslim countries. However we can't delude ourselves and we have to manage our expectations.

Iranian media is reporting that President Raisi "insisted on the principle of the safety of international shipping in the Red Sea" in a conversation with the chairman of Yemen's Supreme Political Council

This is being exploited by Arab enemies of Iran to show Iran does not support the Houthis' action in the Red Sea in support of Gaza

^ I took the wording from Tehran Times but it is also reported in IRNA

Looks like this statement may be true... Why would he say such a stupid thing, lecturing the Houthis like this? @Hack-Hook

to me it seems nothing new he said
Raisi meanwhile emphasized the importance of protecting the security of international shipping for different countries.

Iran always considered USA presence as a danger to countries and shipping line in the region
and specially as he also said
He also said that supporting the defenseless people of Palestine is the principled stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran
it means he support yemen action

He said that in a conversation with Houthis while Houthis are being accused of disrupting the security of international shipping ... It looks like he is encouraging Houthis to ensure they do not disrupt international shipping, and this is how it is being reported unfortunately

That's tragic! Seems Iran has taken the private message from Sleepy Joe and it got to them. A Russian ship was attacked by mistake so maybe it's in light of that, but diplomatically this is embarrassing to say the least.

Not really, it's a general statement for helping the defenceless people of Palestine, so that is more in reference to Hezbollah and the resistance in Sham. When you read that quote together with his desire to protect international shipping it does come across as the Houthis are not included in protection of the defenceless people of Palestine.

This was after Russian tanker got mistakenly (or not) targeted, they probably sent a cypher to Iran or something

White/Nazi affiliated are still targeted as they render the coast insecure and fuels Israel, they must be sunk if there is an opportunity for securing the trade zone

I would argue the degenercy we're seeing would have happened more quickly and more widespread had the pre-revolution regime stayed in power.

impossible to say

I think it is a combination of stupid domestic policies making people rebel (in really shameless and illogical way) plus billions of dollars spent by the USA & others to brainwash and radicalise Iranians against the government

The reason I say it is because the previous regime was pro-western and liberal, so it would have succumb to the same liberal types you see in these posts, or in any other western liberal country, had Shah remained in power. The IRI is just preventing something inevitable, or to use an analogy its using the palms of its hands to stop a burst dam.

more like when you attack anything Iranian in favor of supporting Islamic agenda...
also when people see some hypocrisies specially when there is elections , and other such things

also add to that economic pressure and corruption , and as a secret ingredient unnecessary laws and pressure on people
