The reason people believe in the expansion of Israel is because since Israel creation, it has slowly expanded, first they overtook alot of Palestine, more than 1948 agreement, then overtook Golan Heights, almost all of westbank is surrounded by Israel so unofficial annexed, Gaza is not surrounded by Israel and today they are expanding more in to Syrian territory, they will annex it in the name of security.

Imo I think this was a clear sign that Iran was far overstretched and it is time for Iran to take the temporary L, retrench and maybe even give up its revolutionary ideology and just focus on building its economy.

In the end, the lesson here is that if you do not have a strong economy, your foundation is rotten and it can collapse in a matter of days as we have seen. You see brother this is why alot of senior members are speaking against this war in Syria. They know Israel will use this situation to their advantage. It's nothing to do with Bashal Al Assad sect. The Syrian rebels are not as strong as Hamas or hizbollah. If Syria can build a unity government and state, then slowly build up their army, they may then demand full Israeli withdrawal from its land including golan heights. In Syria the south rebels are tribes, then we have Usa backed FSA, the HTS and Turkish supported SNA is in the north only. Unless I am wrong, this is what the maps are showing. If FSA is backed by USA and has a big say in the future government, do you think they will be enemies of Israel?
