1 IDF terrorist liquidated, 3 more "seriously wounded" in Shujaiya

An Israeli terrorist was liquidated during fighting in Gaza City's Shejaiya earlier today, the occupation military announces.

The slain terrorist is named as Cpt. Elay Elisha Lugasi, 21, a team commander in the 7th Armored Brigade's 75th Battalion, from occupied Kiryat Shmona.

Three more terrorists of the 75th Battalion were seriously wounded in the same incident, the terrorist IDF says.

Although painful to hear, these have very little effect in disrupting Hezbollah. Nothing new. Going on for years.
losing 3 senior commanders is not a light blow even for a decentralised organisation

what I don't understand is why Hezbollah doesn't down every Israeli drone that enters Lebanon. most of these assassinations (and the related surveillance) are carried out using drone strikes. Hezbollah has the 358 SAM which has proven proficient in intercepting MALE drones. It should fire the 358 SAM at any and all drones that enter Lebanese airspace. Hezbollah must not have sufficient inventories for this.

Who will head operations ?
You sound ill informed
There’s a reason why senior leadership is so important
Do you honestly think they don’t have these setbacks built into their plans? It’s not like their first go around between them and the Israelis. Israel enemies had to improvise as they do not have the same luxuries that Israel and the US enjoys.

We couldn’t beat the taliban and the Iraqis insurgents because you kill one guy, the next would take over and continue the same strategy. This is a problem for all militaries fighting massive insurgency supported by the average person on the street.

I recommend you read up on India’s getting its behind kicked in, in Kashmir. The only thing saved the Indians was a corrupt sold out government in Islamabad that basically accepted dollars to end the support in IOK. Even then a handful of Kashmiris fighters have the Indians fearful and wary of what will happen if the failed state next door starts getting its act together.

Reliable detection may well be the problem here, especially if the drone follows a long roundabout course rather than flying the shortest direct route.Another one is flying at high altitude where its just not visible from the ground.
We dont know what means of detection hezbollah relies on when it comes to detection of enemy drones/aircraft,is it radar, optronics, spotters on the ground both in lebanon and occupied palestine watching enemy air bases and relaying takeoffs in real time?.
Ideally this is where one would want a combination of systems both electronic and human

They don’t care. Chalk it up to martyrdom concept.

Why doesn’t every motorcyclist wear a helmet? Because he either thinks an accident won’t happen to him or he is okay with the consequence.

If your a HZ commander traveling around in south Lebanon in a car in broad daylight you don’t give a **** what happens to you.

A) travel at night

B) use tunnel networks during day

C) only travel when absolutely warranted

D) use fake ambulances as your mode of travel

Any of the above could work. Yet they don’t care.

So again just move on and let Darwinism take hold. Eventually thru natural selection commanders will rise to the top that actually care about their own safety both in IRGC and in HZ.

I am not sure about detection, people can often hear and see these drones themselves. 358 can loiter and find the target with its own sensors

these guys are very experienced and survived Israel for a very long time, I assume they take decent precautions

as the commanders they need to manage the battlefield from the front not hide in tunnels all day and let their fighters go to the front and risk their lives. I doubt they have tunnel networks from every location to every location, to the extent they have tunnels, they probably use them. but they travel between towns and there are not tunnels like a metro system to travel for those distances.
