In my opinion Syria fell to lack of economy progress due to war, the regions under Kurdish control are gaining wealth from oil fields/Usa and Turkey is funding and building economy with areas under its control. Areas under Bashar Al Assad suffered due to war and it seems he's lost support after a decade. The rebels are now eyeing Damascus to finish the war. The biggest victory belongs to Israel, they have destroyed an anti imperialist Syrian National government, cut supplies/resources to Hizbollah.

What's spectacular and can't understand is that there has been no mass-casualties, no decapitation operation, this is just retreat, retreat and retreat and nothing else, this is not like 50K SAA soldiers have been killed by HTS or that SAA command got killed, none of that, just retreat, avoid the fight and nothing else, they do not want to fight for unknown reasons and just keeps retreating

Your average SAA soldier doesn't have much to look forward to even if the gov wins. Caesar sanctions are there to prevent possibility of any rebuilding. No point in their minds to fight and maybe die for that future. The decapitation operation was seizing the oil fields and sanctioning the country for a decade.

What's their monthly salary? What's their economy? What's their family and future situation? What's their equipment? What's their outlook/hope? Certainly not dying for 50 usd a month to live under a corrupt Assad regime or risking their life against HTS savages.
It all comes to economy, development and hope for future. Without that, even strongest army with best equipment would collapse.
If the government is nationalist/patriotic and develops the country, people will fight/die for it, if not, they will flee (Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria) because of lack of motivation. Add to that that these countries are fake, have no Identity and are recent inventions by colonial powers.
Just wait and see many more regional wars soon which be born out of this conflict. Iran should concentrate on developing nuclear and chemical weapons before the waves of these conflicts reach our mainland.

The HTS has been able to cripple the SAA's means of communication with the aid of Turkish Electronic warfare assets while using Psychological warfare to fool Syrian troops that their rear lines have fell to the terrorists causing panic and confusion leading to retreat.

Again, how trustworthy is Iraqi Kurdish media in animosity with Syrian Kurdish mainstream, and Al Jazeera, state owned media of Qatar, arabian alter_ego of Turkey....their role is much darker than one ever imagine...

I hope Saudis and Iran will finish the job that Saudis tried few years ago...And failed to isolate Qatar because of Iranian intervention...I hope that military exercise of KSA and Iran was message to little evil monarchy...
