UK/Russia/Turkey killed 2-8 million Iranians during the famines of 1910-1920. That was about 40% of our population. Even Khamenai mentioned it (but leaves out Russia and Turkey for political reasons)

But everyone is focused on the Americans while we shake hands with the decedents of our enemies that committed Holocaust against our kind.

We are truly a stupid people.

Make no mistake, no one has killed more Iranians or hurt Iranian sovereignty more than these 4 countries:

Russia
Turkey
Arabs (Rise of caliphate till Saddam)

MBS cares about building the economy of 22nd century. And for good reason, fusion is advancing rapidly and sitting around thinking hydrocarbons will always be worth $75 a barrel is insanity. If he has any hope of having a country by 2100, he needs to have a strong economy. Fighting proxy wars over failed states (Yemen, Syria, Libya) is just going to drain his coffers. Iran violated its golden rule with Syria which is avoid quagmires and a Syria became a quagmire for Iran and supplying Hezbollah became a costly endeavor. These weren’t problems in 80’s or 90’s. The investment was very little (just military advisors and some cash)

The Chinese are helping him with nuclear enrichment and solid fuel BM. People don’t know this, but it’s not only Turkey that is advancing in BM tech but also Saudi Arabia.

MBS knows Iran is desperate for investor money and knows he might be able to buy off at least few factions inside Iran. Cutting a check for $50B-100B is like drinking water for him.

^^ What would be the endgame scenario in the minds of those who are supporting Iran to do a massive (or any kind of) strike on Israel?

Have they thought through whether they have the technological, military and financial resources to keep going up the escalation ladder?

I mean I haven’t heard that argument fully outlined, while there have been countless posts advocating war.

For instance, this would be one way an escalation ladder could go:

1. Iran deploys TP 3 and targets Israeli air bases, military centres

2. Israeli proceeds to launch a full on air strike against Iran and its leadership.

3. What’s Iran going to do next? Who are its supporters? What happens to its economy?

I’m not saying Iran’s military planners haven’t thought through this. They obviously have, I don’t underestimate Iranian willpower or intellectual capacity.

But (since we are a forum) I haven’t heard anyone here convincingly articulate an endgame that ends positively for Iran, apart from word such honour or courage, which are meaningless when you’re speaking of strategy.

Err, Iran would need to show the intent and capability to “decapitate” the entity.

A powerful TP3 would show this intent and capability and so restore deterrence.

That is why Hezbollah was hit so hard as it was not prepared to retaliate in kind.

Iran can act cowed by not retaliating but that means the chances of another strike go up.

You are just not digesting the posts of those of us who show a better “end game” for Iran than just doing nothing to an aggressive Zio-US attack on it.

Just shows how clueless Mikati is as a politican, if it was not for Iran, then Lebanon probably wouldnt exist as a seperate country as Israel would have gobbled them up by now.

You can argue if local groups should or shouldnot have gotten involved after Oct 7th, 2023, but they were able to hold Israel back to a ceasefire and withdraw. Those capabilities were not provided by Turkey. Infact, to date, Turkey has done nothing to help Lebanon militarily. (please correct me if i am wrong !)
