Iranian Missiles | News and Discussions

Selected IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] personnel will be trained on the latest Russian upgrades of several short- and long-range missiles - the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, the Iskander M, the RS-26 Rubezh, the BrahMos3, and the Avangard - before the plan to manufacture them under licence in Iran begins, with the aim being to have 30 percent of them stay in Iran, with the rest being sent back to Russia,” he said.
this is ludicrous

I dont entirely disagree with that. Why havent they been able to hit any warships with those cruise missiles? even Ukraine managed to do so
The last ship struck was yesterday

Is this true? Iran will posses kinzhal? this is unbelievable news if true. omg
I doubt Iran is seriously interested in Kinzhal. Zoheir could be turned into a ALBM if deemed necessary. Compared to Kinzhal, a Zoheir-derived ALBM would weigh less than half and have a smaller RCS due to smaller size, carbon fiber motor casing and MaRV. It could be launched by a wider range of aircraft such as Su-24 or possibly future Su-35 and be developed further using Fattah-1/2-derived RVs etc.

Houthi attacks were mainly focused on commercial shipping not the US Navy. So, technically he’s right, even though his statement is a bit misleading. Their attacks continue on a daily basis. I’m not sure which drop-off he’s referring to.

Isn’t it technically over 8000 miles, counting space launch vehicles, a few of the guys on the forum have stated if they were converted to icbm could reach hypothetically 8 to 12 thousand miles
Iran has the ability to build ballistic missiles in all ranges. But ICBMs without nuclear warheads are useless

"if" converted to ICBM

the graphic only talks about (some) missiles officially shown by Iran and known to be in service, not speculative future missiles based on converting SLVs

A big forgetting in this photos: Khorramshahr strategic ballistic missile. I also mention the Hypersonic Fattah missile
Fattah is in the photo

it missed many missiles

Dezful, Haj Qasem, Kheybar Shekan
Rezvan
Khorramshahr-1,2,4

and more

the red one is fattah , the problem is while fattah was built and tested it did not officially incorporated into the armed force .
my guess is it take another one year for it to become operational on other hand i more tend to conclude it was a proof of concept and only a step in achieving fattah-2 and they incorporate that when it become ready

Fattah-1 is cheaper to produce than Fattah-2. But you could be right. We saw the same phenomenon with Ashura > Sejill > Sejill 2. With Sejill-2 being the mass produced design.

Intresting enough at one point, Iran said K-4 is it’s most advanced Missile. Which is puzzling since it doesn’t have maneuverability after re-entry and relies on exo-atmospheric repositioning. Which means it’s accuracy can be off by as much as 250 meters.
