New accuracy kit installed on all of Iran's existing missile
it might be even less than 5m, they said they didn't use explosives in the warhead to show the precision of the warheadView attachment 116794
Can someone estimate the length of the square here?
My guess is that If we take the diameter of the crater to be around 5 meters, then each side of the square should be around 20 m.
Yes, but the ground is dirt and the missile is landing at an angle. If it were landing on rocky ground at a vertical angle, I would agree with you but this is clearly not the case here.it might be even less than 5m, they said they didn't use explosives in the warhead to show the precision of the warhead
Here’s my two cents one used in conjunction with other older less capable rockets easier for it to bypass said systems, more accurate system like this wouldn’t necessarily need to have a large warhead would devastate any target that isn’t a reinforced bunker let’s say mossads headquarters or dimona(rather not just in case nuclear fallout but just throwing that out there)downsides of using EO sensors on MBRMs (Qasem-Basir):
- much lower terminal / impact velocity due to EO sensor (maybe mach 1-2)
- easier to intercept in re-entry phase (e.g., by Arrow-2 and maybe David's Sling)
- lower destructive radius
by what i get from the news it seems they upgraded HajQassem missiles not all of the missilesthere is no evidence it has been installed on all missiles, that's just Arya's speculation that it could happen
