I hope Iran gets the licence production of the Lancet 3 drone in return for Iran giving the Shaheed -136

Lancet 3 is a extremely advanced and sophisticated drone with a very high level of self autonomy including AI image processing

with its 70km+ range it is able to hit long range artillery systems like M-177

and recently has taken out the long range SAM systems like the German IRST-T

its also been credit to taking out the most advanced tanks of Western armies

M1 Abram, Leopard and British Challenger

a video from a few days ago shows it destroying the Polish Krab howitzer

Qassem Basir Solid Fuel Ballistic Missile

The Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support announced the successful completion of a new missile test and said: "Recently, by using the experiences of Operation Sadeq 1 and 2 and strengthening the weak points, we have successfully tested a new ballistic missile."

Stating that this new missile has been upgraded in both guidance and maneuver to pass through defense layers, the Minister of Defense considered it resistant to electronic interference and emphasized: "In this test, very severe electronic interference was carried out against this missile and it had no effect."

Stating that this ballistic missile was fired from a distance of more than 1,200 kilometers, he added: "This missile finds a specific target among multiple targets and hits the target without deviation of even one meter and without relying on the GPS navigation system."

Can someone estimate the length of the square here?
My guess is that If we take the diameter of the crater to be around 5 meters, then each side of the square should be around 20 m.

New accuracy kit installed on all of Iran's existing missile

there is no evidence it has been installed on all missiles, that's just Arya's speculation that it could happen

downsides of using EO sensors on MBRMs (Qasem-Basir):

- much lower terminal / impact velocity due to EO sensor (maybe mach 1-2)
- easier to intercept in re-entry phase (e.g., by Arrow-2 and maybe David's Sling)
- lower destructive radius

it might be even less than 5m, they said they didn't use explosives in the warhead to show the precision of the warhead

Yes, but the ground is dirt and the missile is landing at an angle. If it were landing on rocky ground at a vertical angle, I would agree with you but this is clearly not the case here.

Here’s my two cents one used in conjunction with other older less capable rockets easier for it to bypass said systems, more accurate system like this wouldn’t necessarily need to have a large warhead would devastate any target that isn’t a reinforced bunker let’s say mossads headquarters or dimona(rather not just in case nuclear fallout but just throwing that out there)

This rocket doesn’t really seem new just longer ranger reminds me of the video years ago when fated naval variant struck that barge

If it uses electro-optical sensor it can be really really accurate and doesnt need to rely on GPS.

Regarding threat of THAAD, possibly this missile makes maneuvers prior to hitting the target

Also EO sensor allows real-time battle damage assessment

Iran has 2 missile with EO sensor:
1) Khalije Fars anti-ship ballistic missile-300km range
2) Tankil anti-ship ballistic missile-500km range

Possibly this new missile can be adapted for hitting moving targets like ships.
