this is somewhere in Parchin. I can't be bothered to look, do you have the coordinates?

I am only aware of one SSM base in the east of the country. It is near Mashhad and has two tunnel entrances around 500m apart and the 'mountain' it is built into offers approx 100m of overburden protection.
this base is approx 2300km from Tel Aviv.
there are reports that Iran moved some of its missiles to the east of the country for greater protection, so we will have to wait and see if this leads to more development of SSM bases in the east.
could be for storage of back up systemsIt makes no sense. If we go by IISS assessment the longest current range is 3200-3500 KM for K-4 with 600-750 KG warhead. May be Sejjil-II can hit 3000 KM with 450-500 KG warhead at max apogee. Unless Ghaem-100 and Qassed SLVs are proper ICBMs what purpose these bases in North East are serving ? Are we threatening China and Russia ?
The Imam Ali SSM base in Khorramabad has at least 13 separate tunnel entrances spread across a 13km perimeter
The base has at least two launch silos/portals
the mountains provide up to 600-800 metres of additional overburden at the highest point (relative to the elevation of the entrances)
with enough creative digging under the mountain (i.e., zig zag lines), you can build dozens of kilometres of virtually impenetrable underground missile highways in this base alone
bigger issue is obviously the entrances. more entrances are needed with more passive defence measures (we have already seen this in other bases) and more silo launch portals. the area is huge and there is still room for significant growth.
could be for storage of back up systems
or for use against threats in Afghanistan
Houthis used small MRBMs to reach Israel at > 2000km range so I guess it's possible even with the existing inventory with smaller warheads
or perhaps Sejjil has 2500km range
in any case, the west of Iran is filled with SSM bases from north to south, so this is the only base I know about in the entire east of the country (I am sure there are others)
these bases are littered throughout Iran and each one is huge with multiple entrances and blast doorsThe real risk for these bases is, if the Americans decide to send in special forces to infiltrate the bases and attack/destroy them from the inside. Given the operation in Venezuela and placement of American forces around Iran, there is a strong possibility that this is part of their plans. The "sonic" weapons that they developed and used in Venezuela is a capability that they could used in this regard.
I am not sure if we can, or cannot dismiss the presence of American soldiers on Iranian soil, esp for these bases, and nuclear installations.

Agree - their large size makes them difficult to destroy from the air, but much harder to defend from land forces/special forces. Pros/Cons etc.
The location should serve also as alternative storage and launch sites. IRI strategy It is very smart. They're spreading storage and launch sites across all the country. Irán has nearly the size of half European Union. US and Israel would need weeks if not months to destroy all missile facilities. It makes no sense. Soumar family of LACMs are 2000-2500 KM at max stretch. Unless Ghaem-100 and Qassed SLVs are proper ICBMs what purpose these bases in North East are serving ? Are we threatening China and Russia because these bases make no sense otherwise against Israel, EU, US.
if the number of tunnel entrances to each base is increased and each entrance is given passive defence measures and hardened (currently only applicable in some bases) then the burden on the attacker becomes very significantThe location should serve also as alternative storage and launch sites. That may be the reason why this time Netanyahu is not boasting about his Air force and wunderwaffe.
