Expect to see new generation of cruise missiles if Iran has enough copies of the JAASM-ER engine to reverse engineer it.

Iran sorely needs newer engine tech for its cruise missiles (and jet powered suicide drones)

Patarames feels that Iran currently cannot build sold fuel missile boosters since the major faculties that was involved in the product are destroyed.

Makes you wonder why Iran hasn’t cleaned up around its bases if the conflict has been relatively quiet since April.

I don't know this General, but I believe him. From many months US and Israel didn't hit industrial cities, that means that Irán would have probably rebuild assembling missile factories.

You have to wonder, how much of the components of that missile can be scavenged and reused? ( just a thought, not sure how practical it would be ).

Solid fuel has clear bottlenecks, as we know, but hopefully liquid fuel missile production is ongoing at very high levels

We need a military economy with huge production of drones throughout the country

Iran’s liquid missile family is simply not lethal against modern ABMs. Look at the last attack on Jordan, 5 Emad missiles and 4 interceptions (one alleged impact from a photo although some claim all 5 were intercepted).

Emad is also the most maneuverable of the Shahab family.

Outside of Khorrmashahr, the liquid missile family needs new warhead designs ASAP to maintain lethality against Patriot. The reason Keyibar Shekan works is the lower apogee and trajectory the missile takes while staying quasi ballistic.

So building 100 Emads or Qiams per month while impressive for their cost and war time quantity, they are not likely sustainable in terms accomplishing satisfactory damage to the enemy target.

It’s clear in the future Iran cannot rely on this cheap missile doctrine in any future conflict as its enemies will surely build 3x or 5x amount of interceptors they had previously.

The next “cheap” Iranian missile design needs to wear down opponent interceptor quantities while also having a more than 50/50 chance of breaking thru to do some damage in low salvo launch packages. Because right now losing 8 Qiams/Emads for every 10 fired is just a waste of industrial capacity development. These families need to be retired and replaced with a glider warhead design.

Also I wouldn’t discount solid fuel missile production. The Hezbollah-Syria missile base that was raided by IDF had small mixers that could be used to produce solid fuel. Iran has a much larger industrial base and suitable locations across the country to continue such a project. However, output will likely be limited (tens per month vs 100+ reality).

Iran has shown that it can successfully mate New Kaybar shekan or Fattah warheads to existing Haj Qassem Solid fuel MRBMs. I wonder if these types of warheads can be fitted to Liquid fuel MRBMs like the Qiam rocket booster?
