That’s an incomplete statement, ergo irrelevant.

Now that statement is more thoughtful. Speed is irrelevant if precision is unaccounted for. Speed is irrelevant if a certain speed overcomes what minimum speed is needed to escape ABMs.

If these indeed were ICBMs then by definition they are imprecise, and any maneuverability is only to escape ABMs at a high expense of velocity. City killers otherwise do not require precision.

These strikes had far more psychological and political value than tactical value.

russia showed us what IRBM warheads impacting at mach 10+ look like ...

most of Iran's MRBMs impact at mach 3-5, we did see some faster warheads used likely impacting above mach 5 but nothing close to mach 10 yet

This is a view of the landing of a missile that Ukraine claims is a Russian ICBM.
It appears to be on a different level of speed and power than the missile used by Iran.
In comparison, the Iranian missile looks like a miniature.
If Iran had such weapons, the attitude of the U.S. and Israel toward Iran would surely be different.
Iran's missile industry still has a lot of work to do.

The U.S. has pointed out that this missile is actually an MRBM.
This difference in power is quite striking, as the missile belongs to the same MRBM class used by Iran in its attack on Israel.

Russia said their missiles travel time was 7 minutes. So their faster speed was only in terminal phase.

If Russia used an IRBM then of course that would have a higher terminal speed than Iranian MRBMs.

Some of the other factors may be that unlike the purely ballistic trajectories with a single warhead of Russia, Iran is using terminal warhead separation, glide trajectories(HGV) and release of bomblets etc.

Yes Russia is more advanced in some ways than Iran but remember Russian missile attacks are still being defended at about the same rate as that what happened to Iranian missile attack on the entity.

The entity has better ABM defences(when combined with USN ships and that huge US ABM radar in Negev) than Ukraine and so let us not downplay Iranian capability.
