I don't know why they didn't just put up a realistic looking mock up of the radar as a place holder if they wanted to have Dena in exercise so badly.

well according to more than one person here it is just refraction !

are you sure its a real radar ? it look like some plate in place of radar
its supposed to take some space not to be so flat
I thought the same as you but I am not qualified to reach a conclusion

@Flotilla what do you think about the Deylaman radar?

It is an image effect, why not quoting me and putting a screenshot of my post here?

Whether it is a radar or a paper radar or a metal mockup, the images you sent shows an image effect called refraction, it is already present if you watch objects from far away and is reinforced by taking a picture of it

so you don't deny it has no radar? please be clear

And this makes no sense as why they would put a sheet of paper on a mockup/real radar
so you don't deny it has no radar? please be clear
I didn't said it was a radar but that the images you sent are clearly showing basic refraction effects, and this kind of nagging allegations are starting to get annoying on just every subject

If no video of a satellite launch: It has forcibly failed
If no missile impact on a video: They have 100% failed
Thinking that the navy would put a paper sheet on a radar/piece of metal so that it became even more obvious that there is no radar
"Hamas is going to get destroyed"
"Iran has lied by not throwing 100000 ballistic missiles at Pakistan as a retaliation and didn't shot down their fighters"
"Iran has put canister launched SAM on Moudge but they still lied about the VLS"
"Iran doesn't have VLS technology
"Iran should buy Houthis missiles"
"Iran should act with its emotions"
"If no video then 100% lies and fakes"

You are paranoid on every single subjects here, just ask yourself a simple question as to why they would put a sheet of paper on metal

You are also putting my location in public that I've chose not to show on my privacy settings because of your moderator UI

no one cares about the refraction, we care about whether there is a radar or not

you wasted that much energy to argue it was a bad photo only to agree there is no radar after all?

at least we agree in the end.

not true. everyone can see that French flag on your photo. and you call me paranoid

No, this is your moderator UI showing the flags based on my IP address, unlogged users cannot see the flag and I've put nothing on my location section, this is your moderator UI showing everything

interesting. that flag is not personally identifiable or sensitive information especially since many users use VPN but if you want I can delete it

I am same as you. While most of fix phased array radars like Spy radars, FCS3 from japanese new generation of escort vessels and russian Poliment family of radars (among others) have distinctive stand out from the inclined surfaces of all masts, this one (Eagle eye radar) seems not to be the same.

Let me be exceptic about too much too soon fitting out of the Eagle Eye radar. But really I don´t have any idea about if inside are really instaled all TX/RX modules.

Most covers of those fixed radar arrays are from plastic dielectric material, and in the case of Deylaman seems to be same material than the rest of the mast (aluminium). But, I don´t have any proof and prefer to keep silent.

Anyway you can be sure Deylaman will take years to be Full Operative Capability. It takes years to test, install and fix problems (all naval radars needs to be removed, fix problems and refit again). Apart from salinity problems and corrossion, the main problems of long range air search radars are "clutter" problems and after it the electronic comptability between equipment. In every warship you have working at the same time high frequency communications, surface radars and over all the air search radar. That makes really difficult to fit all together in the same mast and you have unavoidable problems about electromagnetic compatability. For that reason you are seeing from 20 years ongoing how modern navies test all systems in a mast simulated ashore. Iran did it with the Asr, but we don´t have any mast with Eagle Eye radar working onshore (maybe they have it in a secret place, who knows).

So I don´t have enough info to tell if it is fitted or not. Hints are pointing there is not still instaled, but I will keep silent at this point.

It was just a remark, anyways i don't want to pollute this thread for some paper/real radar argument

reasonable assessment

discussing flags and inventing quotes is polluting this thread, talking about status of deploying radars on navy ships is the opposite of polluting

now lets move on and focus on the topic of the thread
