Iranian Navy to receive modern domestically-made ships and weapons
Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani said that the navy will receive several new domestically designed and manufactured ships and weapons equipped with advanced and cutting-edge technologies.

Irani made the remarks on Friday, December 20, stressing that the local military hardware will soon join the Iranian naval fleet and surprise the enemies.

“These new additions cover various areas, including surface, air, manned, unmanned and missile systems, the capabilities of which the enemies are completely unaware. They are equipped with a new generation of high-value technologies and weapons with deterrence capabilities,” the Iranian Navy chief stressed.

He stressed that the missiles to be unveiled feature “very new ranges.”

Rear Admiral Irani also said that unmanned aerial vehicles with an operational range of more than 2,000 kilometers, as well as underwater vehicles are among the modern military equipment manufactured locally.

The Iranian Navy is awaiting the necessary preparations to unveil the locally developed equipment, he said, stressing that they will join Iranian naval units and enter service in the coming weeks.

The Iranian Navy has become self-sufficient in the construction of surface and submarine ships in recent years. It has also strengthened its presence in international waters to protect sea lanes and ensure the safety of merchant ships and oil tankers.

that's not important , the important point is if the radar problem solved or not
not exactly surprising, but we have our answer:

they say they built 3 of them

the 4th one is supposed to have AIP technology. that is the standard bearer and will be a real achievement if reached (shame they only plan to build one)

12 of these 4th Gen AIP Fateh subs would've been a good coastal coverage strengthening the ghadir fleet while Besat being tested

with some luck they will standardise and produce the AIP version of Fateh in decent numbers

but that is many years away at best

for now 3 Kilo class + 3 Fateh (non-AIP) + 20-30 Ghadir mini-subs will have to do

DPRK is building destroyers while Iran is still overloading corvette hulls to the point that they are capsizing.

Hopefully the increase in defense budget from next year onwards will help expedite projects/procurements/R&D, pending for air force & navy

Typical communism propaganda. Build one of each platform to make the appearance of a great military power. The reality is much different.

Notice how everything “large” in North Korea happens in single form.

1 destroyer
1 heavy submarine
1 global hawk clone UAV
Etc.

We have see that song and dance before with projects that Iran never full mass produces (Fotros UAV, IR-140, Kowsar, etc). Show me the insides of the ship and I will tell you how formidable it is.

The only thing that sparks my curiosity, is where is North Korea getting the money for these wide ranging projects. Even if they are propaganda projects, it costs money to build things. And its missile program (probably the only “real” thing in their military) even if Russian ToT still cost money to build ICBMs and MRBMs and TBMs including HGVs.

North Korea is broke. Their GDP is nonexistent. So I wonder who or how they are funding these programs. That’s what so curious about all this.

A destroyer it is much more than just a big hull. The general shape is similar to americans Arleigh Burke class. But under the bridge the space for the fixed arrays radar antennas are too small for being a long range search radar. In addition there is no space in the bow for a VLS. Where will be embarked the weaponry?.
At least 24 cells for a meaningful military capability is needed, depending on the size of each cell, of cours

China and Russia are supporting North Korea. They should have done this years ago, but the mirage of friendship with the West deceived them.

You are sure there is no room for VLS, furthermore, we are not aware of how superstructures are built from the central ship to extreme stern and which weapons can contain
To make predictions it is better to always wait, I am convinced that Kim Jong-un will soon be photographed at the launching ceremony this new frigate.

NK has plenty of 'money'. Thinking in 'dollars' only is being dim.

At the end, the facts are there. NK has been progressing 'with no money'. Perhaps curious to some but no so curious for most.

QED.
