Does anyone know how long it would take for Iran to build a simple gun type bomb if it decided to dash for one now? Lets say... 20kt.
If you have the fissile material, a gun-type weapon would be easy to assemble. It could be done in less than 10 days.
It won't have a high yield though, as a gun-type weapon is very inefficient by design due to lack of compression of the fissile material. So, to reach 20KT you'll need ~70kg of HEU. Compare that to an implosion device where this could be lowered to 8-16 kg of uranium for the same yield.

Interesting

But the problem again It is IR has no other defense alternative than missiles. If IR announce nuclear weapons, those missiles cannot be used again without triggering a nuclear war.

IR needs to rebuild conventional capabilities before entering in the nuclear era.

Iran using a nuclear weapon would be end of Iran. Period.

Agreed.
First a good Air force, Navy and Army and then nuclear weapons. But nuclear weapons ready to use It is not logical.

We can make them

It is not necessarily required that we use them, as is the case in North Korea, Russia, and other countries

The more straightforward approach was enrichment up to 60–90%, which was undermined by our reformists besides The Core Structure of the Arak Heavy Water Reactor

I don't really get this analysis. What is this based on?
Russia is a nuclear state and is actively using its missiles against Ukraine.

How? rabbi khamenei has banned nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver them to europe and North america
The area of Iran is 1,648,195 square kilometers

Everything can be tested and hidden in underground city bases within that area. The AMAD military project was one of those that was exposed (1990's - 2003)
Additionally, I think everyone knows that Iran has space rockets, also known as ICBMs. Spare me from low value dumb comments
