"Chamran-1" research satellite (60kg) placed into 550km LEO by IRGC-ASF Qaem-100 SLV

The Chamran-1 satellite weighs about 60 kg and its main mission is to test hardware and software systems to prove orbital maneuver technology in height and phase.

Designed and built by IRGC aerospace experts, the Qaem 100 satellite carrier was able to successfully complete the orbiting operation of Chamran 1 satellite.

This research satellite was built by the Ministry of Defence and SAIRAN. This is the second successful orbital launch of the Qaem-100 in 2024 after the January launch of Soraya (50kg) to a 750km orbit. Good to see Qaem-100 prove its reliability in placing 50-60kg class satellites into LEO.

The Qaem-105 is scheduled to have its first test launch (likely suborbital) by March 2025. Or in any event during Spring (by June 2025). The first version of the Qaem-105 will be able to launch a 120kg payload into LEO.

IRGC now has a 5/6 success rate for orbital launch attempts across Qased and Qaem-100 SLVs since the first launch of the Qased in 2020. This equals the total number of successful orbital launches by ISA since 2008 (5/11 attempts)!

No news from ISA on Zoljanah or Sarir...

Looks weird. Doesn't look actually painted over. Looks more like it's behind a semi-opaque cover:
