Iranian UAVs | News and Discussions

TP-1 was a huge success and I believe most of these drones made it to their targets in the thick of the night with a percentage downed (shown as propaganda on CNN/ BBC) but not the majority which broke thru!
this is not true

US+UK+France+Jordan+Israel air forces put hundreds of fighter jets in the air to intercept these c. 180 drones and cruise missiles over Iraq Syria Jordan and Israel, and they intercepted all of them (at a huge cost)

of the 120 older ballistic missiles that were also fired in Operation True Promise 1, it seems c. 9-15 of these impacted in Israel across Nevatim and Ramon air base

not much damage was done, one storage building was destroyed and one C-130 plane was damaged in Nevatim

Operation True Promise 2 took a different approach and only fired 180 ballistic missiles (including many newer missiles). I summarise the impact of that here:

Shahid 136b is the ace in the hole for Iran vis a vis Diego Garcia........Nobody's seen a vid of it being launched yet.
Other than drones and some secret weapons we have Mirv Kheybar (Khoramshar-4 family) missiles to eliminate them

I wonder doing a distance measurement on google earth that if launched from yemen, is it closer to DG or from southernmost part of Iran?

Also I believe the S136b's shown during the military parade didn't have engines installed and were possible mockups/ prototypes.

More recently, the Geran has been complemented by the Gerbera and Parodiya; these simple and affordable decoy systems are intended to overwhelm Ukrainian air defences and chart a path for Shaheds.

Russia has sought to enhance the operational capabilities of its OWA-UAV systems through technical modifications to the Geran. Developments include the integration of new jamming-resistant controlled reception pattern antennae, the introduction of different warheads, and the use of datalinks that can use Ukraine’s mobile telephone network. According to Ukrainian military intelligence, Russia is also currently establishing a production line for the jet-powered Shahed 238. This claim, however, has not been independently verified.

Iran's involvement in the war in Ukraine will be remembered as our lamest military move after the involvement in Syria if Russia does not fulfill the Su-35 deal.

Why? Iran got paid for it's involvement in the Ukraine theater. Not comparable to Syria.

How do you know that? How much did we get paid? Was it worth all the drama we have had with Europe since then?
