IRGC-ASF launches missile strikes against anti-Iran terrorists in Pakistan, Iraq and Syria - Pakistan responds

Or that (as proposed in my previous post) the joint naval exercises were preceded by a tacit understanding?

Maybe there is no sectarian element here. And Pakistan realises now that enemies of another state on its territory will eventually bite them as well.

But it cannot be "seen" as attacking non Shia factions (read Sunni) by its other more radical home elements.

And thus "bad" Iran can take the fall of the cleanup. As they anyways would, being a state inimical to the interests of those same radical home factions.

Maybe.

Cheers, Doc

That would imply that Pakistan is more than happy to allow serious breach of sovereignty which would be unpalatable, also that the threat was actually that serious that such action is needed at this delicate moment.

I feel like my imagination is running away, truth might be stranger, i guess the reaction from Pak will tell us more.

Pakistan needs to secure their border areas better. Cross border terrorism is resulting in neighbouring nations to take matters on their own hands.

sovereignty matters

really bad move in any all plausible scenarios .. I miss sardar!!

yes but their AD isn't

There AD is based upon BUK M3(Licensed into 3rd Khordad) or 15th Khordad (S300) Baver 373(S300V)

Do get impressed by figures provided for internal consumption

there AD is based upon BUK and S-300 (variants)

PAF is built to handle this.

they are not even deployed at Iran front and there still no need to be.

we can show them precision and air dominance

Really bad move by IRGC

I hope Ayatullah Khamnai intervenes but what i think he is already alone in group that is why his only true supporter was assassinated by US (Sardar). US did with some guarantee from them also.

So, we have self esteem we will hit IRGC may be inform them before hand. just like IRGCs Intiqam-e-sakht
If they weren't deployed and PA left the border unchecked then it's the failure of Pakistan military. Names have to be called else it will be a norm.

Self-esteem? Is this a new word for cowardice? Every time an incident happens, the only two things Pakistan does is either summon a diplomat or issue a condemnation through foreign ministry. There is no internal investigation, or questions the trio-chiefs and no one resigns on the failure to fulfill their duty.

IGRC did what they thought was best for them. Pakistan army failed to defend the border.

I don't say that. The area is so remote no country specially as big as Pakistan can cover such remote places

With such casual behavior by military, a Salala like incident is bound to happen once again.

Its not about love lost - but what comes after . Iran puppets a large percentage of an entire sect(ouch.. no its not “sectarian” per se) which undertakes religious pilgrimages to Iran including the Ayatollah who regardless of his piety or not which is not for moi to judge is not equal in stature to the way it’s portrayed. The Iranian religious leadership which is Iranian and political in nature is considered to be leaders by this portion of Pakistan’s population and can be used by Iran against Pakistan. To counter it - what will Pakistan use in its currency to have other nations cajole Iran to back off?
that is the only currency.. @RescueRanger
what if one persuades India that Iran attacked your ships in the Indian sea. However, Russia won't support anyone against Iran.

I don't think there will be any retaliatory strikes against Iran. Doing that will only push India and Iran closer, and maybe even Iran allowing Indian assets close to Pakistan. However, Pakistan had to retaliate against India because....well, it's India. Both countries are mutual enemies and hell bent on destroying each other. The Pak military doesn't want to stretch itself unnecessarily, and keep the bulk of its focus and assets targeted towards India and its eastern border. This is a game of chess.

With Iran, there's no reason to escalate. In fact, the Balochi separatists are enemies of both countries, so I don't see why they don't work closer against these organizations. It seems that both countries will tackle them on their home soil, but allow them to attack each other. Completely pointless strategy.

Self-esteem? Is this a new word for cowardice?

That is exact word used by IRGC when firing missiles at US bases informing well before the strike. so do not mix things.

it gives us the same pretext as they had when "Sardar" was killed by US.

we can not and should not ignore violation of sovereign territory been bombed/Missiled with Intent for sake of Terrorism.
