Is the US Ready for War with China?

All I can say is that you are only seeing a fraction of US military power in use.

What have we seen of China’s experience in military operations? None. All we see is the potential, not the actual use, of China’s military. Let's see how their weapons work in an actual war.

Remember, China is supposed to invade and capture Taiwan, but its military is green. And it doesn't help matters that Xi is busy purging his military.
And your sole superpower US did beat up barefoot Afghan Taliban armed with AK-47, but eventually got booted out. Then it got kicked in the butt by some backward regional power Iran.

China's weapons seemed to work well against India what was it, a year ago now?

Folks, while I'm thinking about it, let's try to keep the regurgitation of Twitter resposts to a minimum. Like......zero.

There are plenty of sources out there to support each person's position without having to resort solely to Twitter which itself is often dubious.

I hate wars and seriously
I'm tired of wars.... from Azerbaijan-Armenia, Ukraine-Russia to Iran-America-Israel wars are now becoming a daily routine of this world but still military enthusiast inside me would love to see war between America and China....

You'll never see threads like, is China ready for war with US? Can China's air force ever compete in war with USAF?

You never see headlines like these by western media. I just find it funny.

You sir should seek mental help. If you're so enthusiastic for a war, why not head on down to your local recruiting office and sign up for a hitch.

Y'all have plenty of opportunity with your cousins to the west and those guys to the north of you.

If anyone has any doubt whether US is ready to fight, well Y'all need to live in America, yes people and their forces are ready cause US is always in some sort of war/clash, while mostly peace at home but the people has shit tons of guns and they know how to use them, so don't get me wrong but as much as I don't like US involvement in wars, but the country and its people are/will always be ready for war, lots of Americans love their AR's more than their wives and kids.

I've had many loves in my life. But this......this is love:

Starlord, in all seriousness, I know others who own firearms. And, I know there a few of those who would rather surrender than fight if it ever came to that.

Yes, I am serious.

You can play war video games instead of actual war, they are very realistic these days. Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises come to mind.

Except for the regeneration.

But, to remain OT, is the US ready? Only the planners and leaders know. Everyone else is simply speculating based on what they think they know.

Up on TWZ, there are several articles of interviews with those whose job it is to assess readiness as well as China's capabilities both current and forecast. Those articles are worth a read.

I am not against fighting against the invasion, but I will support civilians with tons of guns specially when the country has no internal conflict and very high mental illness rate among the population. I hear this argument many times since I move here, what if China/North Korea invade America and it make me laugh out loud that China or North Korea invading America, America has the largest military, largest Air force and navy with huge nuclear stockpile, they don't need civilians to fight urban battle with any invading forces because there won't be any, so basically people are paranoid and basically playing this doomsday/invasion prep cosplay gives me them some sense of importance and purpose in life, a mean to go into a fantasy world where they are some soldier fighting or preparing for a imminent threat which doesn't exists, its gives them a escape from the miserable 9-5 job at lowes or home depot.

So, how about I put a damper on some hopes and dreams:
