No they aren't. Syria will be one of their biggest if not biggest challenge is to prevent Israel from encroaching into Syria and blocking reconstruction and development of Syria.

They are however helping Saudis and Qataris counter Israeli schemes in Ethopia, Somalia and more.

I think last few years circumstances is forcing Turkey + Saudis and GCC to work together, and Pakistan always wanted this and is helping them to achieve that because the Gaza - Lebanon - Syria and now Iran/Gulf situations are serious and requires cooperation and taking proactive measures

The success of this strategic pact depends on behavior of Israeli govt. If Israeli govt continues pushing boundaries farther it will strengthen the pact. If Israel leaves Gaza and Lebanon, and stops murders in Gaza and West Bank, it may cool down and not shape up to be much.

It's not so much being afraid of Israel but the trust between Muslim nations needs to increase still. It's the uncertainty of future of region that's pushing us closer even at a slow pace, it is something good.

We will need economic blockade of Israel in future before taking military measures. The key is to get reaction out of them to justify counter measures we will take against Israel. Or let Israeli govt continue showing their ugly face until world coalition forms to strip them of nuclear weapons.

If they were a alliance, they could bring both North and South Cyprus in the game with joint drills.

Greece could strengthen the Patriarch in Istanbul and attract not only the Western Orthodox christians from Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus but also, because of their alliance with Turkey, they could make an entrance in the Middle East and attract the Armenian, Egyptian, Syrian and Arabic orthodoxes.

They could both make a deal with Egypt and Libya and Lebanon and close the the whole East Med for the Israelis.

Then,I guess we could have even a kind of confederation. A kind of confederation based in mutual assistance,vision and honesty.

Good question. Basically Italy is a mini super power in that area and controls the Mediterranean. How will Rome act?Italy right wing Government is pro Israel and has wage war on poor Gaza behalf of Israel as an important military logistics route for US weapons to small hat people .

Against Israel, offense is the best defense. The entire ME has given Israel too much space so now they lord over Jordan, Egypt, Palestine and increasingly Syria. The more meekness that is shown in the face of the Zionist fascism, the greater the greed of the Israelis.

Turkey must continue to grow its expeditionary capabilities in Syria (at the invitation of the Syrian government of course) and the Saudis need to wisen up too. The far right fascist Israeli government has designs of grandeur that include taking on more territory in Iraq, Syria, and potentially even as far as KSA and Turkey.

I personally believe that the KSA-Turkey-Pak pact is strategically mindful of this expansion and less so about Iran. Others in the region need to join in and work towards a tangible, potent capability against Israeli expansion.

I wish there were a stronger term than meekness; the regional players' inaction has even surprised the Israelis, per their own ministers. They expected blowback and a blockade of sorts, but after three months with nothing being said and no action, they decided to escalate the brutality, and that, too, surprised them; it was at this point that they decided on their course of action.

The Israeli's know there will not be much action except for more hollow statements at the UN and other organizations. The regional players have squandered any opening they had or levers of power and, at this point, can't change Israel's calculus. As for this Makkah Defense Alliance, the less I say, the better.
